With Nanostray 2, we tried to push the series int the classic Shoot 'em up direction with stricter 2D gameplay. Still, the goal was to give the visuals are modern 3D sci-fi touch, rivalling the latest Gradius and R-Type games without loosing the bright and vibrant Shin'en style.
