Fun!Fun!Minigolf was designed for the casual gamer with straightforward and easy to learn controls to give a experience comparable to Wii Sports and similar games. Visually, the goal was a colorful and crisp look with vivid colors and a semi-realistic touch to the models. The game just should look better then all rival titles on the Wii. As it was the first project for Shin'en on the Nintendo Wii, another key goal was to develop the proprietary engine with all necessary tools for the art pipeline to achieve "next-gen" effects and lightning.
